Game Details

Shannara is a 1995 point-and-click adventure game released for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows. It is based on the book series of the same name by Terry Brooks. Like other games of its genre, the gameplay mainly consists of interacting with characters, game environments, and items in the inventory.

There is also a battle system used in certain places in which the player character can choose to retreat, give orders to party members, attack, or defend. The story takes place after the events of the original Sword of Shannara trilogy, and follows a new hero on a quest to defeat a resurrected evil that threatens the Four Lands.

Designed by Lori and Corey Cole (the writers of the Quest for Glory series) and produced by Bob Bates, Shannara was published by Legend Entertainment in December 1995.
