The Missing Piece

The Wizard of Life has abducted our hero to a far-off and strange distant land, where he must determine how to safely engage numerous local monsters of fable and myth in order to free a captive panda bear, with his assistance uncover a magical orb, and dismiss an evil force blighting the land.

At your disposal is an assortment of arms both close- and long-range, modern and ancient, as well as an assortment of offensive magical spells and even magic words that produce unique effects when invoked in the correct location.  Sizing up the enemies so as not to overstep one’s abilities, the player slays the opponents in turn, gaining experience and raising their statistics through advances in experience levels.

Astute readers might surmise something being absent from the overall narrative structure of this game, but its name says it all.
