Wizardry: The Third Episode - Scripture of the Dark is a dungeon crawler role-playing game. It is the third instalment in the Gaiden series. Unlike the previous game Wizardry: The Second Episode - Curse of the Ancient Emperor which incorporate features mainly from Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom, Scripture of the Dark now incorporates more from Wizardry: Bane of the Cosmic Forge formula in addition of genders, new races (Faeries, Dracon, Rawulf, Mook, and Lizardman), new Alchemist spell category, new classes (Alchemist, Bard, Ranger, and Valkyrie), outdoor areas etc.
