Game Details

Xian Yuejian Hen is set in fantasy world most closely resembling China of the Tang Dynasty (7th to 9th century). The hero of the game is the young prince Li Yao, the second son of the emperor Li Xuan of a fictional Yuan Dynasty. Li Yao is proficient in kung-fu techniques, and is dreaming of a great adventure. When he traveled to the lake of Jingxin, he met a mysterious white-clothed girl. Little he knew that this moment would mark the beginning of the great adventure he craved for, which will take him all across the country and make him face the legendary gods of China.

The game utilizes pre-rendered backgrounds, isometric perspective for locations, and third-person view for battles. The enemies are not random and are visible in hostile areas. Once you come into contact with an enemy, a battle begins. The battles are turn-based and rely on techniques of various elements. You must assign an elemental proficiency to your hero before the game begins. You gain experience points for individual attacks, so it is possible to gain a level in the middle of a battle.
