9 Kings is Available on Steam at 55% Off

Sad Socket announced that 9 Kings is being offered at 55% discount on Steam. This fast-paced roguelike kingdom builder has players grow their empire and fight massive battles against powerful rival kings. This offer ends October 24.

9 Kings invites players to build their city into the most powerful of all kingdoms across endless combinations of buildings, units, spells, and positioning. They can take advantage of chaotic combos and powerful perks to break the game and become overpowered. Players can grow their kingdom in strategic ways as they prepare for dozens of unique events and show the world a kingdom can outlast all others.

New Patch

A new patch has been released which introduces new content to the game. These include:

• Destruction perk: a time perk that gives Orbiters +10% starting damage.

• Big Bang decree: a time decree that makes Hourglasses stun enemies the first time they hit them.

• Eyeglass now works with Amplifiers.

• Freshmen decree now works on Regressed troops.

• When the game is processing the respawn of thousands of units at once, it now displays an hourglass loading icon for feedback.

• Warper's minions now inherit the king's color.

Plans in Place

In a post, developer Sad Socket revealed that they'll continue to work on finessing the King of Time. This way, everyone can enjoy the best version. Even with that, the studio shared that they're just "getting started."

By having a solid foundation, the studio believes that it can truly expand the game beyond the core. More content is planned to be released and players can look forward to a patch with new decrees & cards. However, the goal for now is to introduce players to new game modes. While they 're going to continue balancing out the current kings, they'll be able to add new experiences that are expected to be bigger than any deck.

9 Kings was released in Early Access back in May of this year. Features available during this phase include players being able to access seven out of nine playable kings. There's also meta-progression, special cards, and even dozens. There are also new difficulty levels along with the improved Endless Mode. Get 9 Kings on Steam now.
