Titan Roc announced that Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call is releasing on July 27. This story-driven action-RPG is set within an entirely handcrafted and high fantasy world. Players get to explore a war-torn city that's on the verge of collapse.
This should be good news to those who have been waiting for the game’s release. In fact, a lot of them have wishlisted it as far back as 2020.
The studio revealed that the game was inspired by influential titles that include Fable, The Elder Scrolls, The Lord of the Rings, and Warhammer. In a statement, Titan Roc Director Craig Smith shared that they wanted to offer a brutal, muddy, war-torn world where threats lie around every corner. However, it is also one where humanity, humor, and hope still endures.
The game tells the story of the Vale of Vahrin. It's a place that's facing threats from both within and without. This makes it perfect for mercenaries looking for their next contract. In addition to mercenaries, there are also bandits, monstrous beasts, and even hideous creatures. To survive, players need to master intense real-time action combat and adapt to every challenge.
As players fight back against the overwhelming odds facing Vahrin, they'll need to help the survivors in their personal tales of grief, love and even humor. In between the battles, they can travel a world that's steeped in beauty and mystery, where each region has been hand-crafted to test the resolve of players.
A Narrative-driven Adventure
The game offers players a narrative-driven adventure. It focuses on the city of Vahrin, which has been overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque and insect-like creatures known as khraiax. In response, the Free Cities that have been united under the banner of the Combined Order send their armies to face this terrible threat. While the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rises from beneath the city’s streets.
What starts as smaller and isolated struggles turns into a greater saga where each character’s trial, every kingdom’s war, and every act of courage or betrayal weaves the tapestry of the unfolding story throughout the world.
