A New Enemy Arrives in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide with Latest Update

The latest free update for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now live. There's a lot of new content for everyone to enjoy. One of these is the arrival of a new enemy.

Get ready to face the Scab Plasma Gunner. This dangerous new Specialist enemy makes its presence felt as part of Darktide’s roster. The Scab Plasma Gunner wields a powerful plasma weapon which forces players to adapt their tactics and brace for intense and high-damage attacks. Prepare to feel the heat in any mission where this adversary appears.

New Veteran Weapon

For those who want to have something up their sleeve when facing the new enemy, they can get their hands on the Power Falchion. This single-edged and one‑handed power weapon serves as a counterpart to the Power Sword. Its Special action works similar to the Zealot’s Relic Blade. That is, when the Special action is activated, it empowers the Falchion until its heat bar fills. Once this happens, it overheats and the Special is locked until the bar empties.

Other New Content

The update introduces a lot of new content. These include:

• Theatre of Rectitude Mortis Trials Arena: Re-enter the visions summoned by the ship’s Psyker, Sefoni, in an all-new arena inspired by the Clandestium Gloriana mission and its frozen Adeptus Mechanicus Foundryplex.

• New Memory Echoes: Several new chapters that expand NPC backstories and reveal more of the Mourningstar’s past through Sefoni’s visions between waves.

• New Bolt Pistol Mk VI Godwyn‑Branx and Boltgun Mk III Locke: Both marks emphasize explosive effects with larger explosions and significantly more explosive damage on hit or kill compared with other marks in their families.
