Version 3.1 is releasing tomorrow in Zenless Zen Zero. It's set to add a new permanent game mode called "Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel."
The new game mode puts the focus on the Labyrinth Carrot, a special piece of equipment that's been crafted by Joyous, the pioneer of all Proxies. This same equipment has accidentally attracted a large Ethereal called Eous and who is dragged into the depths of the Hollow while carrying the carrot. It is now up to the Proxies to head deep into this corrupted area and mount a rescue operation.
The mode features stages that players enter and where they need to buy supplies and enhance their strength. They then have to safely evacuate within the time limit after they've obtained enough valuable loot. Any supplies collected can then be invested into the infrastructure of the research station which further bolster its capabilities.
The Enigma of the Labyrinth operates on a seasonal update cycle and shares weekly progress with Hollow Zero. It brings with it exclusive rewards available each season.
Limited-Time Events
Aside from the new game mode, there are also limited-time events launching as part of the update. The Fantasy Resort summer event "Summer Waves Roll In" has the Proxies join Lucy, Sigrid, and Remielle for beachcombing adventures and souvenir shop management. Those who can complete the event's main storyline can obtain Lucy's summer outfit for free. For those wondering who Remielle and Sigrid are, learn more about what they bring to the game here.
The new update also comes with five outfits and these are Vivian's summer outfit Iris of the Shore, Sigrid's summer outfit Majestic Wavechaser, and Remielle's summer outfit Seashade Pas Seul and evening gown outfit Moonlight Whispers, and Lucy's summer outfit Princess on Holiday. The two outfits for Remielle are being offered as a bundle and available at a 30% discount.
Update Version 3.1 is titled “The Long Goodbye” and launches in Zenless Zone Zero on July 29. It’s going to be available for the PC via Steam and consoles PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy ARPG where a calamity called the "Hollows" has destroyed modern society.
