A Realm Divided Comes to Albion Online on November 24

Realm Divided is releasing in Albion Online on November 24. This major update revamps Faction Warfare and makes it into an active and ever-shifting campaign. It's one where every player can make a difference. From mighty Faction Fortresses to a new network of Provinces, the update introduces a new era of conflict across the Royal Continent of Albion.

A New System

The update introduces a rework of the territorial mechanics of Faction Warfare through a new system known as Provinces. What it does is provide focal points for faction gameplay. It makes it easier to not only find battles but also the objective on the Royal Continent. By participating in faction activities within the Provinces, players can obtain Supplies for their side. All of these then culminates in a dramatic battle for a Faction Fortress, with the attacking side trying to besiege and capture the Fortress. The success or failure of the attack determines the shape of the broader war across the Provinces, with every player having a part to play.

Faction Details

Faction Transports are being added which makes it easier for players to reach the frontlines of faction conflict and throw their weight into the battle. There's also going to be new objectives within active regions.

Meanwhile, Faction Camps that has been overrun by bandits offer rewards to those able to fight off the competition and claim them for their side. Faction Chests provide spontaneous opportunities for loot and combat. Then there's the new vanity rewards which can be earned to show off the prowess of players in fighting for their faction’s cause as they enter the battlefield.
