Looks like another powerhouse is ready to make their presence felt in Marvel Contest of Champions. Agatha Harkness arrives at the Battlerealm on August 13.
For those not familiar with Agatha Harkness, this ancient and powerful witch has a life span that stretches back even before the Salem Witch Trials. She managed to thrive across multiple eras by not only relying on her wits but also through her unparalleled knowledge of dark and forbidden magic. She not only serves as a mentor to the Scarlet Witch but also has positive relationships with a lot of heroes. However, even today she continues to finds herself walking a very thin line between ally and villain.
Still on Agatha, there’s an ongoing event that’s set to end tomorrow. She’s investigating some rather mysterious “Symbiomancy” occurrences. With magic in the air though, nothing is always as it seems. What this means is that even a friendly face like Spider-Man (Symbiote) has the potential to be a villainous new foe.
New Reworks
There are also reworks being released. One of these is the Spider-Man (Symbiote) rework that's coming out on August 27. This is one of Peter Parker’s most famous and notorious costumes. It is one that is cosmic in origins and is the dark version of Spidey’s suit especially since it has a mind of its own.
Marvel Contest of Champions invites players to step into The Battlerealm and experience epic 1v1 combat. It features various Super Heroes and Villains from across the Marvel Universe. The game was first released on mobile platforms through iOS and Android. Then in June 2025 it was made available for PC and fully optimized for mouse, keyboard, and controller on the big screen.
Players get to take on the role of a Summoner chosen by The Collector. They assemble a powerful team from a roster of more than 300 Champions. Players can engage in fast-paced battles against enemies and players from around the world. They'll have to master intuitive combat mechanics and release special attacks as they fight across cinematic storylines, competitive arenas, and time-limited events.
