Developer Airship Syndicate announced that it has partnered with Critical Role for the release of the first ever Support Pack for Wayfinder. It's planned to be released at the same time as the 1.0 launch which is on October 21. The pack is going to be optional and to be available for $19.99.
For those not familiar, Critical Role is an American web series where a group of professional voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons. The show started streaming while the first campaign was ongoing which was way back in March 2015. What this means is that this collaboration should be exciting news to fans.
In a post, the studio revealed that this idea for this pack started when a lot of players were asking how they could provide support to the studio. As a result, they wanted to offer something that would allow those players to give support directly. The studio went on to say that if they were to release something that can be purchased out the game, they want it to be special.
That said, the Critical Role Supporter Pack comes with 4 Character Personas that include Grendel as Grog Strongjaw, Niss as Vax’ildan, and Venomess as Vex’ahlia. In addition, it also comes with:
- 1 Trinket Mount & Saddle
- 4 Character Charms
- 15 Housing Items
- 10 Sprays
Airship Syndicate CEO Joe Madureria shared that they’ve been huge fans of Critical Role and truly excited for the collaboration. He added that if players love this upcoming pack, then for sure they’d “love to make more.”
Meanwhile, Critical Role Licensing Manager Shaunette DeTie revealed that seeing the development team bring Vox Machina to life in the game was indeed “a treat for the entire Critical Role team.”
