Developer Arbitrary Metric announced that Roman Sands RE:Build is now available for the PC via Steam. The apocalyptic resort sim is also out for consoles PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The game offers a surreal and pastel-toned adventure told through two stories that's set across a stranded luxury resort and a decaying zoological research station.
The Resort
Players wash up on the beach of an indulgent Resort and it seems that according to the guests they work here and apparently slacking off. They get to race against time to rank up and earn equipment to stem their never-ending tide of demands. The only catch to the employment is that the sun is days away from swallowing the world though the guests couldn't care less. It's time to look under the surface and uncover the resort's secrets and solve puzzles in an attempt to escape.
The Facility
In this one, players take on the role of being one of the last people left alive. They serve as the caretaker of a decaying zoological research station. Their only companions are a dead cow and a voice on the radio. The voice sounds familiar, but they don't know from where.
Making things difficult is that a parasite clogs the guts of the station. Players need to exterminate it and preserve the station's work though it may come at the cost of their own survival.
PC Re-release
Launching alongside Roman Sands RE:Build is Paratopic: Overdub. This PC re-release revives Arbitrary Metric's award-winning 2018 liminal horror classic as a 3-in-1 remaster, remix, and sequel. It introduces improved textures and animations, new characters, and new secrets to discover.
