Studio Wildcard revealed more details of the Extra Life 2025 event for ARK: Survival Ascended. This event has the community unite and raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
As reported, this year's event won't have the usual 24-hour livestream. However, the studio assured everyone that they're "still going all-in." In addition to helping the kids, those who participate can unlock something special. For each $30,000 raised through the charity campaign, the community gets to unlock a Dino TLC pass that can be released throughout 2026. As much as four TLCs can be unlocked at the $120,000 milestone.
How to Vote
Those who donate need to include a message with their chosen creature’s full first name preceded by a hashtag. Examples of how to do it include:
- #Giganotosaurus
- Hello #Giganotosaurus
- Please give #Giganotosaurus a TLC!
If no hashtag vote is included in the donation message, the donation stills count towards the TLC total though it won't advance any particular dino’s voting tally.
Vote Weight
Now each $1 donated is equivalent to 1 vote. So a $50 donation with #Giganotosaurus hashtag means 50 votes for Giganotosaurus. The same is true for five $10 donations with #Giganotosaurus hashtag.
Eligibility Guidelines
To keep the vote balanced and consistent, eligible creatures must meet these criteria:
- Must be a creature from The Island
- Must be tameable
- Must be rideable or a shoulder pet
In addition, the creatures must not have previously received a TLC pass. That means these creatures won't be eligible:
- Argentavis
- Dire Bear
- Direwolf
- Gigantopithecus
- Mammoth
- Parasaur
- Procoptodon
- Raptor
- Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Sabertooth
- Sarcosuchus
- Spinosaurus
- Stegosaurus
- Triceratops
