Ashes of Elrant Expansion for Chained Echoes Coming Out Next Year

Umami Tiger announced that an expansion for Chained Echoes is scheduled to come out in the second quarter of 2025. This official DLC is titled as "Ashes of Elrant" and to be available for the PC as well as consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.

Ashes of Elrant is set in a new land that's away from Valandis. It happens right before the final fight that happened in the main game. This means that players can look forward to meeting their beloved heroes once again. Anyway, as the Clan of the Crimson Wings prepare for the final fight, they get a call for help from the land of Elrant. It's a place where nothing is as it seems and the mission seems to reveal more about the origin of the Order of Leonar and Lenne's past.

For this upcoming DLC, there's a lot of new content to be excited about. For example, there's a new playable character known as the White Wolf. There are also new areas to explore along with more than 40 new enemies and bosses to fight. Players can also enjoy 15 new music tracks by none other than Eddie Marianukroh. Look forward to new equipment like the fishing rod.

A Story-Driven JRPG

Chained Echoes is a story-driven JRPG that sees a group of heroes go around the vast continent of Valandis in an attempt to end the war between its three kingdoms. In the course of their journey, they get to explore a wide range of diverse landscapes that includes wind-tanned plateaus, exotic archipelagos, sunken cities, and forgotten dungeons, to name a few.

There are different ways to fight as players can take up their sword, channel magic, or even board their Mech. The game offers a 16-bit SNES style RPG that's set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits.

Soundtrack

Aside from the main game and the upcoming expansion, players can also enjoy the original game soundtrack by Eddie Marianukroh. It features 50 tracks of music that’s influenced by the classic 90's era JRPGs and set to Matthias Linda's masterfully crafted story that is Chained Echoes.
