Backlog Function Added to RPG Developer Bakin with Latest Update

A new update is now live in RPG Developer Bakin and once again introduces cool new features to the game. Among others, update Ver. 1.12 adds the backlog function. With this, players can now create a backlog of conversations and message text that's displayed during the game which can then be recorded and reviewed later. Players can also set the text to be included in the backlog or choose to have text not to be included in the backlog.

Another interesting addition is now being able to speed up or slow down the progression of the game. There's even a mechanism with this feature which lets players skip events. Basically, it's now possible to have a mechanism where players can skip events triggered by event switches or button inputs.

Message Skipping is another feature that's been added. By pressing the Decide/Cancel button in conversation scenes for example, it results in the displayed text being shown all at once up to the page feed. This means players can play the game at a quicker pace even in scenes with long conversations. Finally, movies can now be called up during battles. With this, players can use movies to visualize scenes of character interaction and skill activation during battles.

Ultimate Modular Swords

Developer SmileBoom also revealed in a post that they’ll be releasing a new resource pack. Ultimate Modular Swords allows players to design their own sword by freely combining the three parts of a sword which are the blade, the guard, and the grip. The swords created can be equipped by the 3D characters as well as being used as map objects.

The resource pack is coming out on October 23 and priced at $24.99.
