A new update is dropping NTE: Neverness to Everness on September 30. Version 1.4 sees the introduction of a new character named Blackbird. This mysterious witch has the ability to transform into a bird and fly through the open world.
The enigmatic witch Blackbird joins the playable roster just in time for the spooky season. Blackbird’s tale starts with a mysterious plea for help that draws the usually homebound witch out into the unknown. It has players uncover who needs her help and where the journey leads. Beyond her story, Blackbird offers a unique new way to explore the open world. She can transform into a bird and take to the skies. Meanwhile, the character interactions allow her to hold hands with the protagonist and even take them flying. When away from battle, these moments reveal a different side to her. There are also three outfits offering even more ways to showcase her personality and style.
Blackbird arrives at the game at the same time that the "Ketchup Demon" Lacrimosa makes a return.
Strange Encounters
Version 1.4 also sees the beginning of Anomaly Commissions to Hethereau. It expands the city's collection of strange and supernatural encounters. Players may find themselves waiting for a Ghost Bus late at night, surrounded by some unusual passengers, or searching a dream for a hidden anomaly while trying to avoid the lurking monsters. Then another investigation takes an unexpected turn when everyday objects suddenly become enormous.
These new commissions become permanent additions to Hethereau and give players even more mysteries to uncover as they explore the city.
NTE: Neverness to Everness is a supernatural open-world RPG. The story starts in the city of Hethereau where players take on the role of being the first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. They get to join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. In addition to meeting a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, players unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write their own stories in the neon-lit streets.
NTE: Neverness to Everness is available for the PC via Steam along with the PlayStation 5. It's also on mobile platforms that include iOS and Android.
