Blue Archive Welcomes Red Winter Federal Academy Students

The new "Winter Sky’s Renaissance: Thesis on Cultural Exchange" update for Blue Archive is now available on Steam and mobile. It features Red Winter Federal Academy students Takane (3★) and Yakumo (3★). There's also a new event story for everyone to enjoy.

The pick-up recruitment features new students Takane (3★) and Yakumo (3★). Takane (3★) is a student from Red Winter Federal Academy who can scale healing for low-HP allies. She also provides strong HP-based recovery alongside granting Crit buffs with additional damage support.

Yakumo (3★) is also a student from Red Winter Federal Academy and groups enemies while also building stats to boost allyCrit DMG. Overall, she can enhance team damage output.

This recruitment ends April 20.

New Event Story

A new event story has been launched which follows students such as Takane and Yakumo. They'll be infiltrating Trinity General School to sell books. The event story features the misunderstandings they encounter along the way and ultimately their respective resolutions.

Comrades, Arise

Another event that players can enjoy is the Anonymous Red Winter Partygoer’s Letter X Sharing Event.

To join, the first step is to check the letter from the anonymous Red Winter Partygoer on Blue Archive official SNS channels. They then need to leave a reaction, like reply, comment, like, and share, on the flyer post. Then if the total number of reactions across the official SNS channels reaches at least 10,000, event rewards are then revealed through a special video. Details on the rewards and content are to be announced at a later date.

Blue Archive was originally released for mobile and has seen massive success. It has ranked consistently as one of the most played anime-style games around the world and has a dedicated global player base. In July 2025, the game was released for the PC via Steam. This version had all the content that made the game a standout title.

In Blue Archive, players take on the role of an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E., (aka SCHALE) located in Kivotos, a massive city with numerous academies. They must venture forward to resolve the endless incidents that happen in the city while building relationships with charming anime students through RPG Action Strategy and thrilling military action gameplay.
