In the game you get to be part of Redcroft's crew as he enters a deal in an attempt to win back his stolen freedom from the Princess Eingana. They can also opt to help the pop-star Violet look for the mystical artifact to end the evil escapades of a mysterious doppelgänger that's hijacking her stardom. No matter which adventure they choose, players can explore different unique locations where they can unlock new cards, new abilities, and new relics. With these treasure troves of strategic options, they can come up with the perfect the ultimate deck which best suits their preferred playstyle.
Build the Deck
In building their deck, players can choose from more than 200 cards. To claim the victory, they'll need to harness the strength of their minions along with a wide range of spells, traps, and match-finishing Blitz Bursts. While each encounter is a new challenge that needs to be hurdled, the good news for players is that they get to grow stronger as they level up with each defeated enemy.
A Rougelite Adventure
The game also features an adventure know as Tusk Tales. In this one they get to make use of the island map and explore the large and expansive world of Cross Blitz. Nothing is set in stone though as each run is different. Since the path is never the same, adaptation is key to survival. Make sure to think before making any choice as each one made has an impact on the adventure.
Before starting on the adventure, players need to choose from a roster of mercenaries, each one having their own playstyle and a starting deck of companions. They then need to fight their way against increasingly difficult enemies. During the battle, players can equip their cards with powerful trinkets to boost their strength.
