Caves of Qud Full Version Releasing this December 5

Good news for fans of Caves of Qud! Developer Freehold Games and publisher Kitfox Games announced that version 1.0 is releasing this December 5. The game is priced at $29.99 and to be available for PC via Steam, GOG, and Itch Io.

This is indeed exciting news, especially for those who have been loyal to the game. After all, it has been in development for 15 years. Still, the development team hasn't been sitting and doing nothing with the hundreds of updates released through the years since the game was made available in Early Access. One of the big changes was the revamp on the game's interface which should make it more approachable and even easy to play.

That's not all that players can look forward to with the 1.0 update. There's going to be a beginner tutorial that helps new players get familiar with the basics before starting their first playthrough. Included as well is the final quest of the main questline which comes with a mind-blowing ending that could even exceed what players have come to expect from the game.

Other things to expect with the 1.0 version are new music tracks, new sound effects, and even new items. There are also 40 new achievements to obtain.

Dromad Deluxe Edition

When the full version of the game comes out, players can get their hands on the Dromad Deluxe edition. It not only has the base game but also the improved soundtrack and The Pets of Harvest Dawn DLC pack. This DLC has pets that were initially exclusive and available to those who supported the Patreon of the studio. There's also a never-before-seen pet.
