Chapter V ofCrusader Kings III is finally here. It adds with it new experiences and adventures. This latest addition to the game also introduces new gameplay elements that's sure to bring much greater depth and variety to the experience.
This Expansion Pass comes with one Major Expansion, one Core Expansion, one Music Pack and one Cosmetic Clothing Pack. For now, only two have been unlocked.
Symbols of Authority
Symbols of Authority is a new clothing pack which allow players to wear their majesty on their head. This is available as an instant unlock for those who purchase the Chapter V expansion pass. This cosmetic clothing pack includes:
- Male Byzantine Crown: Inspired by the headwear of Emperor Constantine the Great of the Eastern Roman Empire.
- Female Byzantine Crown: Inspired by the headwear of Empress Catherine of Bulgaria.
- The Palatine Crown: A 14th century royal relic of Bohemia.
- Royal German Crown: Inspired by North and Central European headwear.
- New Male Hairstyle: Inspired by a 1370 bust of John the Baptist.
- New Female Hairstyle: Inspired by an early 1300s variation on the crispinette.
- New Male Beard: Inspired by a 1370 bust of John the Baptist.
Songs of the Realm
Songs of the Realm is a Music Pack that offers a wide range of musical accompaniment to all that empire-building and dynastic scheming. It offers thirteen songs that's a mix between remasters of Crusader Kings classics and adaptations of traditional European music. It's the perfect soundtrack to while away the hours while plotting the next big move to secure the family’s hold on destiny.
The Nine Crusader Kings remasters are of:
- England Anno 1066
- Lament of the Minstrel
- Shadows Over Constantinople
- The Bard’s Secret Tune
- Merriment and Melancholy
- In taberna
- Sanctus
- The Last Song of Æthelred
- Florence
The four new arrangements of traditional European music are:
- Polonäs (Polish-influenced folk dance)
- Visa från Venjan (Swedish folksong)
- Menuette (17th-century French-inspired dance)
- Slängpolska (traditional Swedish dance)
Roadmap
The other content is the core expansion which is By God Alone. It focuses on the religious life of the characters, with a special emphasis on new systems for Christian characters. It comes out in the third quarter of this year.
Finally, there is Silk & Silver. This major expansion focuses on medieval trade and the merchant families that ruled or financed great empires. The expansion releases in the fourth quarter of 2026.
