The Charting the Unknown DLC for Crimson Desert is releasing on October 29. It's set to add a lot of new content to the game. The DLC is being offered at $24.99.
New Stories
The new DLC introduces three new storylines, one each for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. Players need to have completed the main story to access these new ones. The stories can be started through the Journal menu. There's also a new ocean-focused storyline that can be accessed after completing "Howling Hill" from the main story.
Exploring the Ocean
Players can look forward to seeing Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, dive into the sea and explore the underwater world of Pywel. Under the surface they'll discover ruins, treasure chests, and even new creatures and mounts. While there are no special conditions needed to dive underwater, it's important to remember that being underwater means consuming breath. This means players need to prepare items or gear that can extend their time underwater.
Players can also build their very own ship and set sail across the Great Ocean of Pywel. However, they'll need to complete a related questline, which becomes available after they have set up their Greymane Camp at Howling Hill. To build a shop, players need to send their comrades on a ship-building dispatch mission at a port or buy one from a Fleet Office manager.
Forging Bonds
One interesting feature of the DLC is that Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, can form even deeper bonds with some of Pywel’s inhabitants. All that needs to be done is interact with the said inhabitants to build trust and deepen their relationship. There’s even a chance that it blossoms into romance and even marriage.
Housing System
Aside from the new content, the DLC also makes some interesting changes to Crimson Desert. In particular, it upgrades the housing system to allow players to build a house from the ground up. To access both the regular and upgraded housing system, players need to have set up a camp in Howling Hill and completed Luke’s Request under the "Grounds of the Sunrise" Greymanes Faction quest.
