City of Springs Comes Out this January 31 on Steam

A new adventure awaits you when City of Springs arrives for the PC via Steam on January 31. This steampunk adventure game has players craft and modify robot drones and fight against a cruel regime.

Hope of Freedom

In the game, players take on the role of the brilliant mechanic Val. Hailing from the slums, she's someone who's not afraid to stand up for the injustices, especially ones that she sees on a daily basis. The ordinary people work day and night to ensure that the springwork foundries running and making things difficult are the ministries that breathe down their necks. Each aspect of life in Riveton is regulated and rations are often cut for those who even think about protesting. Making things worse are the Queen’s chosen elite who's always flaunting their wealth.

Even with all of these, beauty remains in this last city on earth. People do what they can to make the most of life even while facing resource shortages along with the oppression of the Queen’s regime. Val is determined to help them.

Time to Fight Back

As mentioned, the game has players craft and assemble robot drones and fight off a cruel regime in City of Springs. As they explore the streets of Riveton, they'll have to sneak into forbidden areas and help the people rebel. They'll need to build little drones from the scrap they find on the street and hope it's enough against the robotic guards.

In a statement, Lead Game Designer Vincent da Silva reveals that the game is pretty much an indie interpretation of Horizon Zero Dawn with Clash of Clans-like combat albeit with a twist. He added that they wanted a game where players have the freedom to choose what they want to do. He went on to say that they worked to offer a story-driven game that had gameplay which was casual in nature so that it's "accessible to a broad audience."
