Nexon announced that the Closed Alpha Test for Nakwon: Last Paradise is now live. That means qualified players from the regions of North America, South America, and East Asia, can try out early what the game has to offer. Making things even more exciting is that selected players can invite up to three friends via the Steam friend invite feature. The test runs until March 16.

The studio shared that sign-ups for the Closed Alpha Test remain open until March 15 on the game’s official Steam page. Once selected, players can join according to the test schedule.

Game System

“Last Stand” is a new Game System which triggers when the HP of the player reaches 0. While players are in the “Last Stand” phase, they won’t be able to attack or use offensive skills. In addition, taking damage means their infection level increases and they die once it reaches 100%. However, during this state, players can extract through exits.

Weapons and Firearms

When it comes to For combat and protection, a total of 60 Melee Weapons are available during the test. These include a dual-wield weapon system with each weapon type having unique characteristics. Meanwhile, 30 Armor types are now categorized as heavy or light for players’ preferences.

Then there are 7 Firearms which are divided among categories that include Makeshift firearms. These can be purchased at shops. Meanwhile, improvised firearms and factory-grade firearms can be obtained through Key Resource Intel missions and retrieved upon extraction.

The variety of Melee Weapons, Armor types, and Firearms provide players with numerous options for strategic gameplay.

Landmarks

As they try to survive and hide from the infected, players can encounter 14 Landmarks. These include:

  • NAKWON Arcade
  • Tapgol Park
  • Police Station
  • Incinerator Facility
  • Jongno Building
  • MR Building
  • Seongdo Building
  • Hotel Momo
  • Art Gallery (South/North)
  • Reconstruction Site (South/North)
  • Parking Lot (South/North).

Benches

A Workbench is going to be available and players can use this to craft or modify items which then increases its durability and performance. What this means is that the higher the workbench level, the more types of items can be crafted. Weapons and armor that are crafted at the workbench are also given additional stats, which can then improve their performance.

A Scrap Bench is also available to dismantle items and result in players obtaining various materials.
