Resummon Studios announced tha tForsworn is now available on Steam. This co-op tactical roguelite RPG is set against the backdrop of a calamitous conflict. Players get to form a team with two friends or even head to the fight solo.
Two Ways to Play
The game offers players two ways to play. The first is Adventure Mode with the campaign offering three Acts and six hero classes. This mode has escalating difficulty tiers with increasing enemy modifiers and map-wide trials.
Then there is Endless Arena which lets players test their might. In addition to enemies growing stronger, the curses escalate the deeper players go. As a result, it forces them to build to adapt or die.
A Quest
Forsworn tells the story of a land that has been torn apart by a divine war. It has players go on an epic quest in an attempt to retake their home. Through the different unforgiving battles, the parties need to chain their powers while at the same time build powerful synergies as they risk everything to overcome death. The thing is, when the parties meet their demise, it's not really the end.
When it comes to the tactical turn-based roguelite combat, each run has players craft more than 150 items and earn at least 200 abilities to create the ultimate hero and unleash game-breaking combos.
Co-op Play
The game also doesn't need players to save the realm on their own. Three-player co-op allows champions to rally with their friends in fast-paced gameplay with simultaneous turns for all players resulting in fights that are brisk and tactical. Meanwhile, the roster comes packed with six unique heroes, with each one having their own three distinct subclasses. This allows for endless replayability and strategic gameplay as parties come together to take down overwhelming odds.
In a statement, Resummon Studios Lead Developer Dat Le shared that he has been a lifelong fan of roguelike games and even turn-based tactical ones. He added that he had been looking for games like Larian’s Divinity: Original Sin especially when it comes to combat. Dat Le went on to say that the game started as a "small hobby project" which later became a full-time pursuit.
