Death end re;Quest Code Z is Coming to the Switch Later this Year

A Nintendo Switch version for Death end re;Quest Code Z is planned to be released later this year. This special release comes with English text support along with voiceover in Japanese. Physical editions are available to pre-order later this week.

The physical editions are available for pre-order with online retailer Playasia starting April 16. There's only going to be 2000 copies of the Limited Editions to be offered. In addition to the base game, the Limited Editions also comes with the manual, soundtrack CD, art book, Joy-Con stickers, mini case, acrylic standee and a numbered certificate in a collector’s box. It's being offered for $59.99. There's going to be no reprint for the Limited Edition.

Those who can't get their copies of the Limited Edition need not worry since they can also grab the standard copies, which are available at $39.99.

Meet Sayaka

Death end re;Quest Code Z has players take on the role of Sayaka as she navigates the deadly Strain Area in an attempt to rescue her friends. This dungeon RPG features 3D exploration, strategic turn-based combat, and an engaging dialogue-driven narrative and numerous endings. To succeed in her quests, Sayaka needs to avoid the gruesome deaths awaiting her.

A Parallel World

Death end re;Quest Code Z is set in a parallel world created by the AI known as Iris.

Iris was born in World DE-1, it's a world that mirrors Earth in the 2000s. With her birth, a series of tragic loops was set in motion. These were later gradually unraveled by the efforts of Arata Mizunashi and his team. With her goodwill restored, Iris created a copy of World DE-1 and named it World DE-1.5. In this new world, feuds gave way to friendship and each person is a perfect cog in a perfect world.

However, a new crisis threatens the peace. It appears that a mysterious man has entered the fray as he leads a group of people who look identical to the world's former heroes. It is the new hero Sayaka Hiwatari who confronts the rising chaos, where friends and foes seem impossible to distinguish.
