Death or Glory: Prepare to Experience the Ultimate Card Dueling Experience

What do you get when you have a deckbuilding game with fighting mechanics added? You have Death or Glory, which is the latest tittle to come from Distilled Gaming Company. The game offers what could be described as the ultimate card dueling experience. It's going to be available for the PC through Steam sometime in the third quarter of this year.

The game offers a rather unique turn system where it's possible to react to almost each attack. That means attacked can be blocked or dodged. Each card has a speed system, similar to the frames of a fighting game. Meaning that a heavy attack can hit over a small block. To survive the arena, players need to manage their resources properly which include stamina, champion power, and even cards in hand.

A Peek at Gameplay

Death or Glory has players choose a fighter and then journey to the fantasy realm where they try to come up with the perfect champions deck. There are different maps to play through with PvE content available for players to fight,

Players go against other champions and try to climb the ranks. These arena battles though are closer to what you would experience with the original CCG style. However, no matter what mode players choose to play with, experience can always be earned which in turn lets them unlock content not just for PvE but also PvP.

Choose your Champion

In this game, there are five classes to choose from, each one having unique play style and even resource system. For example, those who decide to go for a mech may need to manage the temperature of the system and release those devastating combos. A werewolf meanwhile needs to use rage to lower the health of an enemy.

That’s not all since each champion and class comes with its own secrets when it comes to winning duels. Players need to master the classes and to do this they’ll need to take on towers with increasing difficulty and unlock new cards. Once a player manages to master their champion, then it’s time to show off those skills in PvP duels.
