Deep of Night Mode in Elden Ring Nightreign is Now Life

Deep of Night has officially arrived in Elden Ring Nightreign. This is an online mode exclusive content and to access it, players need to have defeated the Night Aspect Nightlord. This high-difficulty mode has enemies that appear to be stronger than usual.

For those who play the game in offline mode, they'll need to select "LOGIN" from the title menu in order to connect to the online servers. Players can then start expeditions with between one to three players. They can also commence expeditions with friends using their platform’s invite system or using Multiplayer Passwords.

The Ratings

Those able to defeat the Nightlord targets in the Deep of Night mode can increase their rating while failures decrease it. The rating changes are the same for both single and multiplayer modes.

For those who disconnect or quit the game during a multiplayer session, they'll incur a penalty and their rating decreases. However, returning to the session immediately after disconnecting removes any penalties incurred at the time of disconnect and the rating at the time of disconnect won't be recorded.

Surviving an Expedition

To survive an expedition, players need to adapt flexibly to changing situations in battle. That means they'll need to prepare well-rounded Relic loadouts that would be helpful during any Nightlord fight. That's because the Nightlord players are hunting won’t be revealed until the expedition begins.

New Weapon & Relic Effects

During Deep of Night expeditions, players can obtain weapons with multiple additional effects by defeating enhanced enemies or competing new challenges. They can even find weapons with new and more powerful effects.

The weapons come with detrimental effects and this means blindly picking them up could put players at a disadvantage. That means players need to take care to check before looting. They can also choose and utilize these new weapon effects with future battles in mind. It allows them to gain enhancements that make even powerful enemies insignificant.
