Ballast Games announced that a demo for Cloudbreaker is now available on Steam. This gives everyone the chance to try the game early and see what it offers.
The game is set in the sky world known as Haven. The worst case scenario has happened and the world is now sinking. Not only is power waning but food has started to dwindle. Making things worse is that gathering the engine parts to defend against Biotes is becoming more difficult by the day. To ensure the survival of Haven and the generations to come, players are asked to recover a Bloil Crystal.
Engine Grid
In Cloudbreaker, the greatest weapon of the players is their ship. As they tear across the hordes of Biotes, they'll have to continuously upgrade their ship's arsenal. To do that they have to secure new engine parts and then equip them in the Engine Grid through an inventory management puzzle system.
Each engine part interacts with the grid in a different manner. For those who approach it on a strategic manner, they'll soon realize that they can come up with powerful synergies. As they upgrade, regenerate, and grow more powerful, players find it easier to cut through new layers of cloud and get closer to the Bloil Crystal each run.
Interesting Features
One of the more interesting features that the game offers are the Difficulty Modifiers. What it does is allow players to replay stages with modifiers for increased difficulty and reward. There's also an Endless Mode where they can test their build craft to its limit.
