A demo for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is now available. The game is accessible for the PC via Steam along with consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. It's set to come out on October 24.
In this demo, players get to take on the role of the Emperor Leon along with their second son, Prince Gerard. They get to start an epic adventure that goes across generation as Leon, Gerard, and even subsequent emperors. They're going against the Seven Heroes, this once revered heroes are now, for reasons unknown, seeking revenge against the world.
Anyway, the demo concludes with the battle versus one of the Seven Heroes, Kzinssie. It pretty much sets the stage for the multi-generation story of the game to unfold. Any saved data from the demo can be transferred to the full game upon launch.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a full HD remake of an original title which was released in Japan back in 1993 and sold at least one million copies. Players embark on a multi-generation adventure to protect and expand their empire. It features a free-form scenario system where the choices of the players have an impact on how the story develops. These include who can inherit the imperial throne for each successive generation.
The game itself was developed by the team responsible for the 2020 remake Trials of Mana. It was made from the ground-up with the standalone story offering modern visuals, reworked strategic gameplay, and different other enhancements that's sure to make any longtime SaGa fans and newcomers alike happy. One interesting feature of the new version is giving the players ability to switch between the classic soundtrack and a newly rearranged version. There are also three difficulty modes which can be adjusted at any point.
Pre-orders for the game are now open. Those who do get the Cat's Amulet as a pre-order bonus which increases the revenue gained after victorious battles by 10% until the end of the Imperial Year 1001. They also get the Shiyuan's Tactical Primer, which boosts the amount of Technique Points gained after winning battles by 10% until the end of the Imperial Year 1001.
