A demo of the upcoming title Shape of Dreams from Lizard Smoothie is now on Steam. The game features a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) control system and combines it with co-op roguelike action battle gameplay. This results in a new style of game where no playthrough is the same.
In addition to the demo, a Prologue has been released which according to the studio had breached 300,000 downloads in two months since it came out. The free Prologue version comes with the Endless Mode, one new character, and different new content.
In a statement, Lizard Smoothie co-founder and CEO Eunseob Shim shared that since sharing a demo last year, the feedback from players has been positive. He added that they've been developing the game since 2023 and are excited to offer players a quality gameplay experience that everyone can enjoy.
Meanwhile for publisher NEOWIZ, they were drawn to the game particularly because Korea has a strong history when it comes to MOBA games. The company went on to say that this title from Lizard Smoothie is truly unique while it also offers a familiar structure to players.
The Rapids
The game is set in a world where the boundary between the dream world and reality has collapsed. This has allowed passage across dimensional rifts to an intermediate realm known as "The Rapids". It has resulted in rumors spreading that anything is possible for those able to reach the end of the dream world. As such, heroes have now stepped into this unknown realm and each one has their own reasons.
Memory Editing
One interesting feature of the game is that players can edit their memories to create their own unique character. They can use memories from the past to defeat enemies in combat. There are also the mysterious gems called Essence and when attached to memories give special effects and create synergies.
Uncover the Secrets
A procedurally generated world awaits players. It’s one that’s filled with dream dwellers, quests, various events, and hidden secrets. The diverse mysteries within this world offer new experiences in every run.
