Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced that a demo for Super Robot Wars Y is now available for the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch. Those able to try out the demo can experience the first chapter of this mecha and tactical RPG.
Players save data from the demo and are carried over to the full version of the game. These include creation data, items, and resources, to name a few. Check out the demo trailer here.
Super Robot Wars Y is a grid-based tactical combat RPG that brings together units and pilots from different anime together to fight against mutual enemies. Players can upgrade their units and train pilots using credits and resources earned after each mission. The game introduces what's known as the new Assist Link system. What it does is bring sidekick characters into action by letting them participate in missions and enhance their abilities and effects.

Pre-order for the game is now available on all platforms. The Standard Edition is available for $59.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available and priced at $94.99. It comes with the base game along with a Bonus Mission Pack which has 15 Side Missions and a bonus mission. This edition also comes with two DLC sets.
There's also the Ultimate Edition that's being offered for $119.99. It has everything that comes with the Deluxe Edition. It also has the Premium Sound & Data Pack that include 31 anime theme songs and sounds, 15 original music tracks, and 55 pages of reference documents that include art and design documents.
Those who pre-order the game, regardless of edition, can get bonus content. These include two missions where they can recruit Cybaster, VangNex, and GranVang. There's also a Special Starter Pack bonus mission.
Super Robot Wars Y is launching on August 28 and to be available on the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and the PC via Steam.
