A new demo for Call of Elyndra is now available on Steam. With this, players can try one of the key features of this fantasy life sim.
In particular, players can try out fishing where they can try to catch various species. That's not all since there's also going to be fishing competition to be monitored through Discord. There players can compete for digital rewards, engage in some friendly banter, and of course, get those bragging rights.
The Fishing Spot
The Village of Elyndra is inviting everyone to their coveted local fishing spot. Here they get to discover a wide range of species that they can try to catch. Those lucky enough can reel in a Golden Trout or even a Rare Koi. Those looking for a greater challenge can see if they can catch the Mythical Lanternfish.
For the game’s demo, players can experience three rarity levels for each fish, which gradually unlock each rarity as they catch more fish.
Call of Elyndra is a top-down adventure game which introduces players to Elyndra, a village that's been threatened by an empire seeking to seize their land. The Elyndirans have entrusted you with a humble abode to call home but now they'd have to earn their trust by helping the community in the village’s dire time of need.
Call of Elyndra offers two unique play styles which are peaceful farming or action-packed combat. When it comes to farming, you get to manage your estate by using various activities like planting crops, fishing, and raising livestock. You can also sell goods at the town market and earn gold. There are narrative-driven farming quests available as you can get resources to earn XP points to spend on farm-focused skill trees.
When it comes to combat, there are different fighting styles available with both the sword and bow. To increase your reputation, you'll need to go on those dangerous quests. For dungeons in particular, there are environmental puzzles with a boss waiting in the middle of it. Exploration not only offers valuable loot, but also lets you progress the main questline narrative forward.
Call of Elyndra is launching in early access for PC later this year. Wishlist it on Steam now.
