A free demo of Kaido Genkai: An Anime Racing RPG is now available on Steam. This open-world anime racing game is inspired by classics that include Road Trip Adventure and Auto Modellista. It features open-world exploration and combines it with RPG progression and arcade racing.
In a statement, Karoshi Electric Company revealed that more than 40,000 individuals have already wishlisted the game on Steam. Meanwhile over on the game's social media platforms, the community has exceeded 25,000 followers. The studio went on to say that with this title, they wanted it to be different from the usual festival racers and serious sims. The game is meant to give players that nostalgic and atmospheric feel.
Going to the free Steam demo, players can look forward to about 2–3 hours of gameplay along with 15 objectives that span races, time trials, point-to-point challenges, collection missions, and exploration-focused activities. There's the chance to unlock and drive two vehicles, with each one having a unique tuned variation. They can also explore a section of the game's open world and meet the cast of characters.
Kaido Genkai: An Anime Racing RPG is set in a fictional 1990s Japanese countryside. It invites players to challenge rivals while also trying to uncover mysteries surrounding their past. They'll need to complete quests, discover hidden secrets, and collect a variety of unique vehicles.
