Dev Team Introduces Fix for Inventory “Dupe Bug” in Fellowship

A new patch is now live in Fellowship. The highlight is the introduction of two fixes. One of these is on the issue related to the Inventory "Dupe Bug".

The development team shared that what happened was that the game was reading inventory data from different sources and there was slightly different information especially during medium/high latency situations. Thus the game client would get confused on what items should be in which inventory or gear slot position.

This resulted in the inventory being filled with "duped items" visually. It could even cause items to disappear from the inventory. The thing is, no items were actually duped or even deleted as a result of the desynchronized state.

The team went on to say that they wanted to address the issue as quickly as possible. Thus they implemented an initial quick fix to prevent user interaction with items that are currently being processed by the game server or backend. Hopefully, this should not be noticed. However in high latency situations, players may see a loading overload covering the inventory while items are being synchronized.

The team assured everyone that they'll continue working to improve this feature incrementally in the coming weeks.

User Interface

The team also fixed an issue with the Leave Dungeon button in the top left corner after completing a dungeon. The button in the Top Left should activate when the game has found a Stronghold with enough slots to accommodate the entire group. It should try to keep players together when leaving a dungeon. The bug was causing the button to not activate properly upon finding a Stronghold for the group.

There are also fixes on some of the heroes and dungeons. Check out the patch notes here.
