Developer Reveals Plans for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad

It was back in May when Netmarble released Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. Since then a lot has happened. Today we'll take a look at what's being planned for the game.

In a post, the Executive Producer of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad shared that they're working on the first major content update. They'll be introducing a new seasonal experience which is Season 1 – The Iron Islands and the Kraken. There's no exact date revealed but it looks to be just around the corner.

The Kraken Raid

One of the new content being added is the Kraken Raid. This new raid is going to be available on a weekly basis and won’t consume RP of those who join. This has been designed to be a challenging new experience for players at all levels.

In this raid, players need to go against the colossal Kraken. To bring down this massive creature, they'll have to team up with other skilled players. In particular, the raid has been to test the group's unique environmental interactions and if they can decipher the challenging boss mechanics. Everyone has to ensure cooperative combat and come up with smart strategies and tight teamwork to get the win.

Reviewing the Adjustments Made

The studio also said they're looking into the recent changes made to the Artifact Expedition system. In particular, they'll be reviewing the total number of Artifact Cart items used during Early Access. After that they'll provide compensation calibrated to what would have realistically been obtainable under the improved system.

While this is indeed good news, players should take note that this needs development of new tracking and support features. As such, the studio is asking for patience from everyone as they work through this process. Hopefully everything is ready by June 12.
