Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers released what may be the biggest expansion for the game. Update 2.0 is all about "Doubling Down" and introduces a lot of new content and new customizations. There are even new challenges available not only for the novice card sharks but even veteran gamblers alike.
One of the new content released are the new floors. These are Surveillance, Laboratory, Anxiety and Apathy. Each one comes packed with unique events and dangerous foes specific to these levels.
How it works is that players make their initial choice at the end of the Tavern. They then need to have a second choice at the end of the VIP Area and Casino. After the After VIP Area, players choose between the existing path through Head Office and Hope, or a new path through Laboratory and Apathy. Meanwhile after the Casino, the choice is between the existing path through the Dungeon and Despair, or a new path through Surveillance and Anxiety.
Lucky Charms
New items added to the game include Lucky Charms. These can be collected during a run and have permanent, always-on effects. Players get one at the beginning of Jack's Tavern. Then there's going to be one in the middle of each floor after the Tavern. As players go, they'll be added to the Collection. By the way, Bosses also have Lucky Charms at Double Down! and higher difficulties.
High Stakes
Another new feature is High Stakes, which can be unlocked after winning at least one run. It basically has players twist the existing rules of the game by starting a Daily or Custom run. Daily Runs feature a randomly chosen deck along with three randomly chosen modifiers. Meanwhile, Custom Runs has players choose from a list of modifiers and then input their own seed.
