A new patch has been released for Dying Light: The Beast. It introduces a lot of new content along with the usual fixes and improvements.
In a statement, developer Techland shared that the game has always been about reactivity along with how the world responds naturally to every move made by the players. In addition they've also been listening to the requests made by the players. The studio revealed that they're introducing a new human-enemy behavior. Melee-weapon enemies are going to recognize when players are aiming a firearm at them and might decide to surrender rather than losing their life. Depending on the actions made by the players, this scenario can unfold in a number of ways.
New Weapon Executions
The update also brings with it nine new weapon finishers across different weapon types. The weapon types where players can expect new and brutal execution animations are:
- 1 for one-handed bladed weapons
- 2 for long blunt weapons
- 2 for long bladed weapons
- 1 for two-handed blunt weapons
- 1 for two-handed bladed weapons
- 1 for knives
- 1 for knuckledusters
