Good day for those excited about Dying Light: The Beast. The game is launching a day early on September 18 with players around the world being able to join the action on PC and consoles simultaneously.
The game was initially scheduled to come out on August 22. However, back in July, developer Techland delayed the release to September 19. It was reported here at RPG Gamers that the additional four weeks would allow the development team to address final details which would "make all the difference when it comes to the game between good and great." Two areas they wanted to continue working on was to fine tune the balance of gameplay elements and the clarity of UI.
As of this report, at least 1 million players have already pre-ordered the game. The studio revealed that as a special thank you to the community, everyone who has pre-ordered and everyone who joins them before launch gets to receive an exclusive new reward. More details are set to be announced during launch week.
In a post, Dying Light Franchise Director Tymon Smektała shared that when they saw the excitement from the community, they knew that they "wanted to do something special" for the players. He added that they pushed themselves to make what may have been impossible possible and this is why the game is releasing a little earlier.
Pre-Order
Pre-order of the game is now available. The Standard Edition is being offered at $59.99 with the Deluxe Edition available at $69.99. Those who pre-order Dying Light:The Beast can get their hands on the Hero of Harran Bundle as a bonus. Check out the details here.
