Dying Light: The Beast Release Delayed to September 19

Tech land announced that the release of its upcoming title Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed to September 19. The main reason is that the studio needed more time to perform some extra polishing.

It had been previously reported that the game was coming out on August 22. Since then, a lot of previews have revealed that response to the title was "universally positive." This also shows that the community is indeed the best. In fact, the studio shared in a statement that the preview coverage has been viewed by millions of players. The studio went on to say that they've continued to work on the game while also reading and collecting feedback and opinions.

The studio revealed that the goal has been to make this upcoming title the best Dying Light game ever released. This is the reason why they needed to delay the release. While this is sure to disappoint a lot of those excited for the game to come out, they said that the experience has shown them just "how important the first impression is."

The four extra weeks would allow them to address final details that make all the difference when it comes to the game between good and great. In particular, the areas they wanted to improve include fine tuning the balance of gameplay elements and looking into clarity of UI. There's also increasing the quality of physics and tweaking cutscenes and player animations further. Of course, they're also adding last little details.
