Ubisoft announced that Echoes of Central Park launches in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 on November 3. It's set to be what could be the game's darkest and most disturbing DLC.
The upcoming DLC invites everyone to explore the most iconic landmarks of New York City, a first in the history of the franchise. In terms of story, it looks into the idea of a society that has been gripped by paranoia of an unknown sinister threat. This fear feeds on itself until rumors become truth. In addition, as a first for the game, the DLC takes place in the form of a flashback as a narrator guides players through her version of events.
Explore a New Map
What makes the DLC even more interesting is that it features a map that's larger compared to the Battle for Brooklyn. The adventure begins in the Upper West Side. This urban landscape features some of the most iconic streets of New York City and is now overgrown as Central Park expands beyond its original barriers to reclaim the city. In the Upper West Side, players can also complete missions in some of the area's most famous landmarks.
Meanwhile, Central Park is now overgrown and reclaimed by nature while being surrounded by unsettling rumors and sinister tales. It was originally used as a mass burial ground during the outbreak. The last known presence in the park has gone silent and fear haunts the park as a new apex threat took up residence, lurking in the shadows.
Unique Companions
While there is indeed a mysterious threat hiding, players won't need to face them alone. There are three reluctant heroes who are willing to help players on their mission. The catch is that if players want them to fight, they'll need to help them confront their inner demons and find their courage again. Each companion has a unique past and fighting style. They are:
- Brayleigh Callahan: A Sniper who is an MIT graduate and Olympian medalist in shooting.
- Elwood Franklin: A Protector who was a former mall cop, but aspires to become an NYPD officer.
- Morse Feeney: An Assault who is a rugged veteran and former, first wave Division agent with a mysterious past.

The Echoes of Central Park DLC is now available to pre-purchase for $19.99. There's also the Deluxe DLC that's available for $29.99. In addition to the DLC, it comes with some cool exclusive cosmetics.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is an online-only action role-playing that serves as the sequel to Tom Clancy's The Division. It's set in a near-future Washington, D.C., experiencing the aftermath of the release of a genetically engineered virus known as "Green Poison." The Division 2 follows an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division as they try to rebuild the city. In addition to being a third-person shooter, the game also has elements of RPGs along with cooperative and player-versus-player online multiplayer modes.
