FromSoftware announced that the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring has sold more than 10 million units around the world. This DLC was released back in June of this year. It has players continue their quest with the freedom to explore and experience the adventure at their own pace.
Shadow of the Erdtree offered players a new look at the mysticism and lore of Elden Ring. It takes players from the Lands Between to the Realm of Shadow. There are dangers both great and small that offer a formidable challenge for those in the Realm of Shadow. Not only are there new enemies roaming the open areas but also horrifying new monsters lurking in caverns and hollows. Those able to survive the intense battles are sure to know the rush of true victory.
A lot of new powers can be obtained in this scorched realm. There are weapons and armor, sorceries and incantations, and spirits and skills. Players can find something unexpected to surprise an enemy like the Thrusting Shields which combine offense and defense. They may even find something to complement their combat style, like hand-to-hand combat that combines palm strikes and kicks without a weapon.
Tarnished Edition
The studio also revealed that they’ll be releasing the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2 console. This edition has both the Elden Ring base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It comes with new character armor along with customization options for Torrent.
