In the world of Elemental Soul there are three main elements which are fire, plant and water. Most of the enemies encountered in the game possess one of these. Meanwhile, choosing the wrong element means players are at risk.
Elemental affinities have an impact on the damage dealt between players and enemies, which ranges from 0.5x to 1.5x. For example, enemies having the Water element can either resist or nullify the status effect of "Ignition." It's clear that the interactions significantly change the flow of combat. Taking hits while having an elemental advantage builds up combo stacks and gives different beneficial effects.

Relics are items that have special abilities which activate under specific conditions, such as player actions or enemy states. For example, a relic that can launch enemies into the air can synergize with another relic that slams airborne enemies back to the ground and result in additional damage. For those who have a relic that attacks automatically at regular intervals, it becomes easier to trigger such effects.
