Cotovelo Games announced that a demo of Now THAT'S a Big Dragon! is available on Steam. To celebrate this milestone, a new endless mode is being added to the demo during the Steam Next Fest this June.
In a statement, the studio shared that the free demo on Steam had actually managed to create what can be described as a "strong momentum." In particular, it has received coverage from a lot of streamers and Youtubers. So far, the combined view count has breached 300,000 views. The demo is part of the Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition which runs from June 15 through June 22.
The current demo offers around 50 minutes of curated gameplay and with the addition of the new endless mode, dedicated players can keep climbing well beyond it.
The Steam Next Fest update serves as the culmination of a steady stream of patches that's focused on performance like smoother play in the dungeon sections and during longer sessions. There's also a balance pass based on demo feedback along with quality-of-life fixes. For those not familiar, the Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition is a multi-day celebration where fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and learn about upcoming games on Steam. Meanwhile for developers, it's a chance to obtain early feedback from players and build an audience ahead of a future launch.
Now THAT'S a Big Dragon! focuses on a kingdom that is facing threats. Players are tasked with recruiting and expanding their team of warriors, wizards, and adventurers. They'll need to do everything to defeat a single and gigantic dragon. What players need to remember though is that it offers number-driven idle experience. Players can buy more troops, upgrade their power, automate the economy, and then click the dragon for bonus damage. They can also dive into a dungeon-crawling minigame and uncover the story behind the towering beast.
The game is still in the early stages of development. For now, the minimum requirements are:
