CI Games announced that Lords of the Fallen Version 2.0 is now available. This definitive edition is a result of the feedback by the community since the game was released back in October 2023. The new update introduces a lot of new features like Shared Progression Co-op, a Free Friend’s Pass, and even a dedicated jump button, to name a few.
Full Shared Progression Co-op
The new Shared Progression Co-op allows players to enjoy a seamless co-op journey. They'll be able to join a fellow lampbearer through the automatic matchmaking. It's also possible to have an adventure with a friend though they must be on the same New Game playthrough and at the same time defeat a similar number of bosses, within a margin of one. What makes this new feature even better is that both players can now save all mainline progress. Although, there is the option to play standard co-op without shared progression.
Both players can also revive each other, collect 100% vigor, and loot in all online sessions. By the way, dull crossplay support via password matchmaking.
Free Friend’s Pass
With the Free Friend’s Pass, players can now invite a friend to be part of their adventure. This allows friends to play the game even if they don't have the full game. It allows for single-player access to the character creator and full tutorial area. All character progress and loot saved between sessions.
Refined Combat & Movement
With the newest update, players can now experience the most responsive combat and movement yet. Changes include:
- Enhanced Combat Mechanics: Improved weapon responsiveness, upgraded lock-on with Grievous Strike prompts, and smoother evasions.
- Improved Combat Audio: Upgraded audio feedback for every clash, parry, and block.
- Faster Soulflay: Quicker Soulflay for more effective combat.
- Smoother Movement: Refined turning and running animations for greater control.
