Burgee Media has a big reason to celebrate. Its simulated MMORPG Erenshor not only had a successful launch but managed to sell almost 10,000 units within the first 24 hours. The game now has 333 reviews with a rating of 93%.
Erenshor was released in Early Access on Steam for $19.99 and offered with a 10% discount until April 21. The game is inspired by classic titles like EverQuest or RuneScape, but with the main difference being that there's no pressure of keeping up with other real life players.
Commitment to Game Development
The game is developed by Burgee Media, which is actually a solo developer. Brian "Burgee" has always been a fan of game development and even committed to the art of game development. This is evident in the focus on creating titles that are enjoyable to design and develop, resulting in high-quality games that players love.
Burgee started with DOOM back in 1996 when he was still 11 years old. He actually spent more time making levels for that game instead of playing it. He then started to work on other genres like 3D shooters and even RPG Maker, to name a few. It was in 2017 when the developer released Azure Sky Project and hasn’t looked back since.
In a statement, the developer shared that the launch was able to "exceed every expectation and hope" that he had for it. He added that even before the launch, he knew that he had the support of the community.
Erenshor is a single player adventure that’s designed to capture the gameplay and feeling of an MMORPG. Players get to meet and group with hundreds of SimPlayers, these are digital companions who persistently exist in the world, who progress independently, and always be ready to group and adventure alongside players.
The game offers unrestricted exploration, strategic battles, and countless weapons, armors, and spells for everyone to discover. Players need to hunt monsters, complete quests, and explore the lore of the world. Each upgraded item will bring tangible increases in power, and soon the unwavering foes before you will be pushed aside, revealing a challenge even greater. Get Erenshor on Steam now.
