Everyone is Invited to the Annual Solstice Event in Destiny 2

Eva Levante is inviting all Guardians in Destiny 2 to be part of her annual Solstice event. It starts August 5 and runs until August 19.

This summer party introduces new Solstice-specific modifiers to Portal activities that are inspired by Solar energy that's sure to keep the heat turned up for the event. Guardians need to use the Solstice Forge to create their armor and then infuse it with a stylized glow that's unique to the event. Players can earn different weapons like the new Yeartide Apex Solar Submachine gun, the new Festival Flight Strand Grenade Launcher, and the returning Fortunate Star Void Bow.

The rewards available can be earned through challenges in the Event Home that include a Solstice-themed emblem, a Ghost shell, and even Holofoil weapons. Meanwhile, the Eververse store features pool-party themed armor for Guardians to stay refreshed and have some fun in the sun during the Solstice event.

The Bungie Store

To celebrate the Solstice event, the Bungie Store is hosting Solstice Savings from August 5 through August 19. The Solstice Savings event brings with it new discounts on products like the NERF LMTD Destiny 2 Ace of Spades Blaster, The Art of Destiny Vol. 3, and the Floating Traveler Lamp, to name a few.

All purchases made on the Bungie Store during the event come with the emblem "Sunburst". In addition to new savings, there's also a $7.77 flat rate available for all orders within the continental US, EU, and UK.

Destiny 2 invites players to explore the mysteries of the solar system and experience responsive first-person shooter combat. Players take on the role of a Guardian, seen as the defender of the Last City of humanity in a solar system that’s under siege by infamous villains. Players can choose from three Guardian Classes which are the armored Titan, mystic Warlock, or swift Hunter.

Players also get to unlock powerful elemental abilities and collect unique gear to customize their Guardian's look and playstyle. Features of the game include a cinematic story, challenging co-op missions, and different PvP modes alone or with friends.
