Misterial Games announced that Stygian: Outer Gods is now available on the PC. This survival horror adventure features RPG elements and is inspired by the cosmic horror of H. P. Lovecraft. It's available on Steam and GOG.
The full release brings the story to its conclusion and expands the experience with content introduced throughout Early Access. Players can venture into a new chapter, tackle additional puzzles, discover artifacts and weapons and face new enemies, including a formidable boss encounter.
Welcome to Kingsport
The game is set in the universe of Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones with the story starting just before the events of the Black Day. Players follow Jack Harrison, who is on a quest to look for his missing father. A shipwreck leads Jack stranded in Kingsport. This forsaken place was once a thriving port and has now been swallowed by decay and an impenetrable fog. It is also here that remnants of the past conceal something far more sinister than an abandoned settlement.
Each corner of Kingsport holds traces of a history best left undisturbed. The crumbling streets, a secluded family mansion, deserted mines, mist-covered forests, and even realms beyond the boundaries of reality form a haunting landscape where discovery often brings more questions than answers.
Staying alive won't be easy since it means making difficult decisions with limited resources. Players need to scavenge supplies, craft essential tools and remedies. They'll also have to prepare for dangers that threaten both physical health and mental stability. The psychological afflictions in particular can influence the experience. Meanwhile character progression offers different ways to develop abilities and overcome the obstacles ahead.
