Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles is releasing on September 30. It’s an enhanced edition of the genre defining tactical RPG that is Final Fantasy Tactics.
It offers a dramatic tale of ambition, betrayal, and honor. All of these come to life through an updated and enriched script with fully voiced dialogue. There's also the improved graphics that bring with it a new level of immersion and playability to the battlefield.
That's not all since the enhanced version introduces quality-of-life updates that include new difficulties, a revamped UI, and auto save, to name a few. All of these ensure that the game is made more accessible especially to newcomers. The game features strategic and turn-based combat along with an elaborate character progression system that makes each battle exciting and filled with unexpected twists.
Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles includes both enhanced and classic versions of the game. The enhanced version in particular comes with upgrades and quality-of-life changes like the fully voiced character and ground-up graphical overhaul. Players can also look forward to the updated user interface that ensures the game is truly the perfect entry point to the tactical RPG classic for new players. The classic version meanwhile offers a nostalgic recreation of the game. It’s developed for players who want to experience the original Final Fantasy Tactics from 1997.

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles is releasing for the PC via Steam and Steam Deck. The game is also coming out for consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
