First DLC for Super Robot Wars Y Coming Out November 21

Bandai Namco announced that SUPER ROBOT WARS Y is finally getting its first DLC. Contract from the Darkness is set to add new playable units to the game along with introducing players to new area missions. DLC 1 is releasing on November 21

DLC 1 is also bringing with it new characters from “GALAXY CYCLONE BRAIGER”, “THE BIG O”, and “FUUTO PI: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull”. Here's what this upcoming DLC is adding to the game:

• 5 Playable Units

• 16 Area Missions

• 13 Onboard Missions

• 2 Assist Crew Members

By the way, those who bought the Collector’s Edition, Digital Ultimate Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, or even DLC Pack 1 & 2 set, can get early access to DLC 1 beginning Wednesday, November 19

New Update

Before the DLC drops, a free update is set to be released on November 17. In addition to the improvements it brings to the game, it also comes with the new Special Mission: "Battle Rush," new EX Level Pilot Skills, and DLC 1 Mission 1 "A Smile on the Street Corner".

SUPER ROBOT WARS Y challenges the Guardians of Steel to rise and conquer fate. The game features an all-star mecha cast and combines it with action-packed attack animations. It also has an upgrade system that allows players to customize the different units and pilots.

The game also features a deep and engaging original story that weaves together universes from a variety of mecha anime. In a battle to determine the world’s future, players strategically command an army on a grid-based battlefield. They can utilize their arsenal of weapons and abilities to defeat the opposing army.

One key feature of the game is the Assist Link system. What it does is allow some characters to join the battlefield as part of the Assist Crew. Players can use Assist Commands to recover HP and EN, boost a unit's attack power, and more. The Assist Crew gains valuable XP with each activation, leveling up to unlock or enhance passive abilities to help units dominate the battlefield.
