A new major content update has been released for Fairy Tail: Dungeons. It's available on Steam for free.
This is the game's first major update and introduces five new playable characters. They are:
- Gajeel (Block & Revenge Specialist): The more danger players are in, the more powerful the moves become.
- Juvia (Support & Synergy Specialist): Fights steadily using strong defensive and support-type cards.
- Mirajane (High-Risk, Ultra High-Damage Type): Can unleash tremendous damage through the effects of Satan Soul.
- Laxus (High-Damage Technical Type): Unlocks the full potential of his cards by fulfilling various conditions.
- Gildarts (High-Cost, Ultimate Power Type): Overwhelms enemies with powerful cards at the cost of high magic energy.
With this additions, players now have the option to choose from 10 playable characters.
New Content & New Features
The update adds the Special Labyrinth Exploration. It's added to the Guild Menu once players clear the main story.
Meanwhile, new features include a card upgrade system that allows enhancement when obtaining duplicate cards. There's also Expedition Records that allow players to review their gameplay progress.

Fairy Tail: Dungeons follows Natsu and Happy, who discovers one day a mysterious door suddenly appearing under the guild. Going inside, they realize that it's actually a strange and expansive dungeon which has the ability to drain all intruders of their powers. Having no other way to defend themselves, it appears that they're headed to certain doom. However, an Exceed named Labi arrives to help. It turns out that Labi's friend is missing and upon learning that, the duo makes the decision to head even deeper.
There are two ways to play Fairy Tail: Dungeons. The first is the Labyrinth, which is a Solo Dungeon. In this one you'll need to use the cards in the deck to perform several actions. These include, but are not limited to, attacking, defending, and casting magic. The secondis Team Dungeon which is Labyrinth Depths. For this one players need to form a team of 3 characters who have been trained in the solo dungeon. Once that's formed you can then head deeper into the dungeon.
Fairy Tail: Dungeons is available for the PC via Steam.
